OUR APPROACH
Our Lycée blends academic rigour with linguistic and cultural diversity, preparing students for prestigious universities worldwide.
- National French curriculum delivered through a bilingual approach, with Music, Art, and Digital Literacy taught in English, and a blended learning bilingual approach for Mathematics and Science.
- Offering the Bac Français International (BFI), based on the global architecture of the new baccalaureate
- Ideal-sized groups of learner, with approximately 20 students per tutor class;
- Emphasis on critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and leadership.
- All students enrolled in Cambridge English Language Programme
- Global readiness with tailored pathways for international universities.
CURRICULUM
Redbridge International School provides a well-rounded programme that adheres to the French National Curriculum standards. As our school continues to grow, we aspire to expand our offerings with a wider range of subjects to meet the diverse interests and needs of our students.
SECONDE
- Year 11 (Seconde) is a foundational year that helps students prepare for selecting a pathway in Year 12 (Première). At the end of Year 11, students choose three specialised subjects.
- Core subjects for all students are:

- Economic and Social Sciences (SES)
- Mathematics
- Physics – Chemistry
- Life and Earth Sciences (SVT)
- Physical Education and Sports
- Moral and Civic Education
- Digital Science and Technology
PREMIÈRE and TERMINALE:
- Core subjects for all students are:
- French (in 1ère), and Philosophy (in Term),
- History-Geography,
- English
- Portuguese
- Scientific Education
- Moral Civic Education,
- Physical Education
- Specialties ( 3 to choose out of 12 in 1ère (3 x 4h), reduced to 2 in Terminale (2x 6h) The available subjects for 2025/2026 include:
In Terminale:
- Student deepen their knowledge into two chosen specialties from Première.
- The curriculum emphasizes Philosophy and Languages, focusing on achieving oral and written mastery.
- Additional specialized lessons, adding 5 to 8 hours to the weekly schedule, are dedicated to French International Baccalaureate preparation. These include:
- “Knowledge of the World” (Connaissance du Monde), a compulsory non-linguistic subject linked to History-Geography.
- “Deeper Cultural and Linguistic Knowledge,” a course designed to broaden students’ global and cultural understanding.
Grand Oral Exam: A major interdisciplinary research project culminating in a formal presentation.
SCHEDULES
School hours for our students in the Lycée are from 8:20 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.
