No Phone Policy
At Redbridge International School, we are committed to fostering a learning environment that supports focus, well-being, and social connection. Our No Phone Policy reflects this commitment and aims to reduce unnecessary distractions while encouraging mindful technology use.
Mobile Phones
Only Secondary School students who leave school independently may request permission to bring a mobile phone. This is solely to enable contact in case of an emergency while travelling alone.
- Students must hand in their phones at the school entrance each morning.
- Phones are stored securely in individual class storage boxes.
- Devices are returned to students at the end of the school day.
Mobile phones may not be used during school hours, including after school clubs. If a student remains on school grounds after 4:00 p.m., phones may be collected from reception, but must not be used until the student has left school premises.
Smart Watches and Connected Devices
Smart watches and all other connected personal devices are not permitted during the school day. These are equally handed to the classroom teacher or tutor at the start of the day and collected at the end.
Student Access to Communication
Students who do not have phones and need to contact a parent during the school day (e.g. for collection arrangements) can do so through the school office.
The wearing of the school uniform is required for all students attending Redbridge International School.
The uniform includes:
- Redbridge short/long sleeved t-shirt or polo shirt;
- Redbridge sweatshirt or hoodie.
On days when students have Physical Education, appropriate clothing for practising sport should be worn:
- Redbridge short/long sleeved t-shirt or polo shirt;
- Redbridge joggers, tracksuit bottoms or shorts;
- Redbridge jumper with Redbridge logo;
- Trainers (with light coloured soles) to be left at school for use in the gymnasium.
